OPAM (One Project A Month) February 2013

I have 4 little thread catchers to show this month in OPAM

I did make one 1 little larger

and the same one with the top folded down a little (too much)

and here they are all together looking rather cute I think!!!
Thank you to Sweet Peg and Kris for hosting OPAM again this year...

I've been rather absent from blogging this week as I've been away to a 'Carerfest'...
all for Carers and I have experienced some wonderful uplifting programmes, met other Carers which was great as Caring can be quite isolating at times.....it was lovely to share stories for a while and then talk 'normal' things.......
and I tasted a little bit of 'Freedom'
now I'm back to bedtime/bathtime and getting into the swing of it all again!!!

Thank you to everyone that reads my blog.......makes a comment....I do read them all and respond when I can and now have to try and catch up!!!

Happy Weekend.......love Dzintra

Lovely little thread catchers, weren't they fun to make. Glad you had a good break.

Your thread catchers are gorgeous. I am so glad you had a relaxing break, it must mean so much to know others are truly understanding the life of a carer. I am sure you all went home rejuvenated. Have a lovely weekend, Ann x ps: I am so glad you were able to find a copy of 'frankie', and I am sure JoJo happy to have Mum home.

Good morning Dzintra! It seems like forever since I have seen you! I love how you have the top folded over to expose the "French script" style writing on the lining....just darling. I love this idea of thread catchers!

I hope you are well sweet friend. March already! That means our birthdays are getting closer! Happy day, Anita

You make the most wonderful thread catchers, the folded down one looks really good. Isn't it great there's a Carersfest, I'm glad you had a wonderful time.

My beloved friend! You have been away! And taking a trip was what caused me to consider a blog break because where I was going to go, I would not have internet access! But plans have changed and I will no longer be traveling. I am however, going to return to posting on the intended return date. It has been great just reading, filling my mind and not having to think about what to post on, though it it a great joy for me to do so.

ICE CREAM! YES! Any flavor, any color. Koralee's book is just a joy to behold and a source for even more imaginative recipes. And you say you are now heading toward autumn! We are now heading toward spring. Oh how I love how our worlds meet!

Hugs sweet friend, Anita

Right near our treasured Anita...
How are you, dearest Dzintra? It was wonderful to see your message today!
Thank you!

And you had a bit of a break at Carerfest...sounds like and informative and uplifting event indeed, my friend.
Your thread catchers are so lovely!
And April in Paris...oh...you and Anita and the other April-born girls should do another virtual party...how fun would that be...!
I find it so fascinating that we are going into opposite seasons..isn't that amazing?
I did end up purchasing the Christmas issue...it was so interesting because the produce in season was the summer produce! :))
I found so many yummies in there, but I plan to cook for my next post..can't wait..
Sending you much love, dear friend...and warm hugs to you and JoJo!
xoxo,
- Irina

DZINTRA! I just woke up! And what a magical idea to meet at the equinox!!!!! Oh how time and space limits our imaginations!

Well my dear, the ice is thawing, and I even heard a red cardinal singing yesterday in the garden. We are at least six weeks away from real spring, but who knows; last year, we were SEVEN weeks early! Either way, you and I will be on polar opposites as far as climate, but close in heart with ideas and wonder. CHEERS WITH BUBBLES! Pink ones, that is! Anita
