With Donna...

With Kate...

I have thoroughly enjoyed myself these last few days putting faces to names...
it's amazing how most of us who had never met recognized each other and hugged like long lost friends!!!  Blogging has certainly been life changing for me...
the friendships made......the amount of sewing I am doing and learning about......
and being able to come here for breaks from caring......it all means so much

And not to forget dear Mr Armchair who walked Darling Harbour.......took train trips with JoJo and attended to her care while I literally 'played' for 2 days and experienced a bit of 'freedom'......
Thank You So Very Very Much!!!  (I think he needs a break now ha ha)

THE QUILTS

So many beautiful ones......here are a few

My Favourite Stall......Hatched and Patched...
A lot of us kept going back to Anni's and back and back...

And here's the girl herself......Anni Downes...
I'm from Bathurst and I still remember sitting in Geo's (no blog) lounge room one day and stitching with a group of friends when Anni told us she was opening a shop......and the rest is history!!!
I am so proud to know Anni and watch her grow and grow with her beautiful designs...

Some designs from Anni's new book 'The Simple Life'

Does anyone know the name of this one......I think I might need it ha ha...

I couldn't resist this pincushion 'Prairie Flower' so bought the kit for it...
Lots of advice and help from Chooky about hexagons...
Thanks so much Donna!!!

I also met Susan and she had made this beautiful bag by Anni......might need to make this one too LOL!!!

But wait there's more...
I'll be back with the shopping......the food......the sights

Thank you so very very much Donna for organizing this blogmeet...
It was wonderful to meet you and all gals......I had the BEST time!!!!!

Love Dzintra xoxo

Good morning dear Dzintra!

Thank you for visiting and seeing my shoe. This is week TWO of being on vacation and I have had some VERY HIGH MOMENTS with friends and my creative time. It does feel strange however, to know that I am on a trajectory of CHANGE and that is a bit unsettling, especially when I know I need to MOVE FORWARD...I am just not sure yet with WHAT and HOW!!!!!!!

Enjoy your day and reminisce on that fabulous meeting of kindred spirits!! LOVE! Anita

Lovely photos. Anni had the most gorgeous stand don't you think? That pattern is Peaceful Garden. It's only wall hanging size but lots in it, and the stitcheries could be used in so many ways. Give in to temptation!
