Faery Kisses...The Seventh Kiss, And A Word From Shakespeare!!!

Here's a post I've been wanting to do for a while...
This gorgeous quilt...Faery Kisses by Helen Stubbings of Hugs'nKisses done in cooler colours...
Each BOM (Block of the Month) is called a Kiss...

I fell in love with the warmer coloured one at Rosemont The Patchwork Shop completed by Jo...
I also couldn't resist the 'sewing writing' around the border...

If you see a faery ring
In a field of grass,
Very lightly step around,
Tip-Toe as you pass,
Last night Faeries frolicked there
And they're sleeping somewhere near.
If you see a tiny faery Lying fast asleep
Shut your eyes And run away,
Do not stay to peek!
Do not tell Or you'll break a faery spell.

William Shakespeare
Part of my Faerie series.

My quilt top ready for the Faery Ring border...

I've done a lot of beadwork on it also...will take some close up pics another time...

The edges of the wings are maroon Mill Hill beads

Before the hearts were sewn on...

And the bit I've been busting to get to...the 'sewing writing'...

And the perfect book to have by my side while I stitch with these very special Faeries...
The Secret Lives of Elves and Faeries, From the Private Journal of The Reverend Robert Kirk...
There is a Faery Kisses gallery over here...
And I still love this quilt as much today as I did when I first saw it 5 years ago!!!

Oh yes dearest, you must try poaching your salmon in champagne and you can make a lovely sauce from the juices. Basic ingredients:

garlic
olive oil and or butter
champagne
herbs of your choice
good filets of salmon

You are a professional cook....take these ingredients and HAVE FUN!

A VOTRE SANTÉ! Anita

Dzintra!!! I meant to get to you yesterday, but we are preparing for a yard sale on Saturday morning and we were non-stop moving large pieces of furniture all about from our basement with some friends; then I cooked dinner for everyone: BASIL PESTO AND GOAT CHEESE-STUFFED TURKEY BURGERS!!! YOWSA....very yummy!!I WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT A LITTLE RABBIT and his sweet friends made it to my home!! Oh Dzintra, the cloth is such darling and it is so soft! The colors are beautiful and my new favorite, AQUA or TURQUOISE is featured so nicely on this fabric! I am going to give much thought as how I will use this lovely swatch. MERCI MILLE, non.....CENT MILLE FOIS my dear friend! My my side of the earth to yours,

Lovingly, Anita

YOU ARE AMAZINGLY KIND!

Dzintra dearest!! GOOD MORNING (well, at least for me!) Yes, our dear little bunny and his charming friends are folded up nicely and tucked away in my special drawer of beautiful fabric, waiting for me to decide EXACTLY what he will do! This will take some serious and careful thought! I so love the feel of the fabric and the colors are so sweet....you are so kind my sweet to send him to me all the way from the other side...I hope he wasn't too afraid on such a long trip!!

We are enjoying lovely, not TOO hot days, filled with blue skies and puffy white clouds. It couldn't get any better. You must be in Winter now! Cozy up and drink a nice hot cup of tea! Enjoy dear one, and thank you ever so much! Anita

Dzintra dearest! YES! RABBIT HILL IS FINALLY GOING TO GET IT'S ADDITION! Oh, we have wanted this for so long so that we could have extra room to spread out just a little...we love our home, so rather than buy a bigger one in a more expensive area, we opted to stay here where our neighbors are wonderful, the area very desirable and the house a sweet dream ready for some tweaking! Two more rooms will allow us to host guests from out of town, entertain our students and other people in mass quantities, and to give me my own studio and my husband his own space. YIPEEE!!!

Have a lovely, lovely evening...Anita

Well done! Its gorgeous. I love your colours. Its my all-time favourite quilt. I've made it too. I'm hand quilting it. I don't want to finish it as I've loved making it. I started it 2003 so it's taken a long time! You can see photos on my blog March 2009.
