~Heat Bags...and time with Ryan~

We had our little Grandson Ryan here for a few days and seeing he feels the cold I thought I would make him a little heat bag...

with some lovely farmyard fabric I had...

All done after a little while...

and here he is posing with it!!!

His little Sister Lidija (pronounced Lidia, but spelt the Latvian way) wanted one too...
she chose this fabric with 'love hearts'

Looking forward to her own bag...

Cuddling up!!!

Then their Mum (DD Jacqueline) wanted one too!!!

All together now...but not for long!!!

Jacqueline thought her Hubby Bill might like one too!!!
I used Anni Downes pattern from 'A Gardener's Journal'......these bags are just lovely and warm!

I took Ryan into town to look at toys......here he is looking at choices...

Choosing......decisions, decisions......ah, which one?

Ryan is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan...
When he grows up he wants to re-instate all the train tracks throughout the country...
and all this he said when he was 5...
now he is 6!!!

Rusty won......and a litte Lego for Lidija also...

We also went down to the beach to build sand castles...
the camera just happened to catch the sand flipping up into the air!!!
I can't believe the beautiful weather we are having during the daytime...
just perfect for beach walks!!!

What a lovely post!! You must live having your grandchildren staying. Those wheat bags are so wonderful! Very cute farmyard fabric! Do you really put wheat inside? You're right about the weather, It's been beautiful these past few weeks.

You're never too old (or young) for a heat pack. And lovely home made ones are the warmest. Looks like you've all been having lots of fun.

I'm thinking, do the heat bags ave wheat inside and do you microwave them?

Dearest Dzintra, I was thinking about you all evening as I perused my first Donna Hay issue!!! I adore it, and I will let you know as soon as I cook something...your beautiful presentations always inspire me...
And now to your GORGEOUS and adorable grandchildren! They are so sweet, and how lucky they are to have a loving, talented, and generous YOU! What loves....
I especially like the little barnyard cloth, but all of the heat packs are lovely, sweet friend. Splendid beach photo...an action shot! ;))
So glad you are having good weather...
I was just about to write you when I saw your message! Thank YOU for bringing such beautiful energy to the world.
Much love to you,
