OPAM (One Project A Month)....August 2011

Another OPAM completed for this year...
Can't believe it's the first day of Spring tomorrow...gosh this year has flown!!!

This stitchery is a Cathy Penton design...

pulled out from a shelf full of stuff...waiting to be dealt with!!!

All trimmed down and ready to be stitched onto an apron I bought 2 years ago for this stitchery!!!

I stitched it back in 2007 as Ingrid (which is my second name) and I started using Dzintra (pronounced without the D) 4 years ago when all my ID stated that it was my first name...

I thought I would also add some tape somewhere...not sure which one at this stage...

I stitched it down first and then went around the outside with a pattern stitch (heart) and to look at it you would think it was lace...looks very effective I must say!!!

I went for Simplify tape and stitched it onto the bib part of the apron...

Now I'm all set to go...
my arm is ever so slooooowly going round to the back but I'll hopefully get there!!!

Thanks to Peg and Kris for hosting OPAM...
without this the apron would probably be still sitting in the cupboard!!!

Oh dear Dzintra... this shows how long its been since I've been able to get online and enjoy my favorites spots. Your blog is gorgeous! I love all the new changes you've made! Your projects are wonderful! LOVE PEARS! (: You're one tough gal... doing all this with your arm still healing! OPAM keeps you moving... which is probably the best thing for healing. Most would just stop because it hurts too much (me included) Congratulations on finishing! Good on your Dear Dzintra~ XXXVicki

Hi Miss Dzintra, I love those pears which have tumbled out of that cupboard!! I have a couple of plastic tubs which serve the same purpose!!

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
