Cook Up With Vicki...No 2!!!

Recently Vicki and I have decided to each do a Cook Up from the latest Donna Hay magazine...this one being June/July 2009 issue
If anyone wants to join us...no rules...just cook up something from the latest magazine and blog about it... I have chosen
Pork with Caramelized Pears and Parsnip
Roasted Balsamic Beetroot
Brussel Sprouts in melted Butter with Parsley
Sticky Date Pudding
Vegies all set to go...
The beetroot was delicious...

Pear and Parsnip...

Pork atop the Pear and Parsnip...
What a flavoursome dish this was...

Brussel Sprouts...

I couldn't tell you the last time I had a pudding like this...
this one was made from Gluten Free flour and crikey was it good!!!
It's not too often one can find a gluten free pudding like this on a menu...
I have put the recipes up on my food blog...My Dolce Vita if anyone is interested...

Oh Dzintra, this looks delicious! Your photos, as usual, make it all the more enticing! Now I'd better get crack'n on the recipes I've chosen! With summer here, and all the goings-on of vacations and visits from friends and family, it's been racing by so crazy fast.

I hope others will join us in the cook ups! For any American readers, you can find Donna Hay magazines at Borders Bookstores everywhere. (Donna Hay's magazines are simply the best!) (:

Thank you for posting Dzintra! You've spurred me on! (: XO Vicki

Hi Dzintra,
I love all of the food you've created. I may just try one or two of the recipes this coming week , we are on holidays for the next two weeks but unfortunately I can't do too much walking so keeping house may be the ticket for me. Glad you like the banner but maybe your title could be added onto the scroll where "Story Book" is written, just let me know if you would like me to adjust it for you.
Hugs Annabelle

That pudding looks scrumptious. Thank you for offering congratulations, it was sweet! Now for some gluten free flour...

The background is perfect but I feel your blog name disrupts the scene and you cant make out the title. Maybe adding a canvas frame with room for the title would work better.

What a fab idea of teaming up pears with the pork Dzintra - that's a real must to do in my books! And what can I say about the Sticky Date Pud, our all time fave here @ Casa Millie de MOTH. You are a star, no doubt about it, I'll be sending you a Masterchef audition form next week.
