Needleturn Appliqué

My first foray into Needleturn Appliqué and I discovered it wasn't as hard as I thought it might be!!!
I think the secret to it is using he correct needle which I didn't know about until I actually looked up how to Needleturn on the net..........it also helped using the tiny pins!!!

And the surprise discovery......I really loved the process!

My first project is a Needlecase which I'm trying to finish off for this month's OPAM (One Project A Month).  Pattern by Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched and the kit I won from Deb at Frog Cottage!!!
I'll have to go to the computer later and put links in as I don't know how to on the iPad!!!

Adorable! Isn't it great to be able to learn a new skill online. That makes sense about the needle size.

Your little heart is so sweet. It's wonderful you enjoyed the needleturn applique. The right needle really does make a difference.

That looks great - well done on your first effort - I think long very fine needles do help a lot.

Great work Dzintra. That's a lovely little pattern to start with. I only started likening needleturn once I got the right needle too!

Well done. It looks fantastic from here. Your stitching skills have improved. Not the needle! Hugs Nat

I just love the sweet and small tender gifts that you make my dear. I am barely trying to stitch a bed skirt out of yards and yards of tulle. AHHH! What a fiasco! I have to take this project one day at a time to enjoy it!

You are very talented, dear Dzintra!
Such lovely work, and I so admire people who are brave enough to learn something new....
So sorry for the infrequent visits, I am trying to re-adjust to a new schedule...
Our cook ups are on my mind, and I need to run out to grab a DH!
Sending warm hugs to you across the miles, my friend...and I'm off to catch up on your posts!
(Waving hi to Anita!)
