~OPAM...One Project A Month...February 2013~

I didn't think I'd get anything done in January but I managed to get 2 drawstring bags done in lovely soft colours which really suited the weather at the time

and 2 thread catchers

Thanks so much to Peg and Kris for hosting OPAM once again...this will be my 4th year and I have done heaps, only missing 1 month...

Happy Stitching....Dzintra

These drawstring bags are SO LOVELY!
What will you be putting in them?
Stay well and stay cool, dear Dzintra!

Good morning Dzintra! YOU HAVE BEEN BUSY! Oh dear, I had heard that the heat out your way was so bad, but I am sorry to hear about the victims in Tazmania....my native state of California has the same risks as well, every year, since it gets so hot there.

Your new draw string pouches are so darling! The colors are exactly what I would have chosen as well. I love muted colors and especially grays and whites. And those thread catchers are just a great idea. The bird pattern is absolutely my favorite! Maybe you can make that purple carrot cake for our APRIL BIRTHDAY! Much love Anita

Oh sweet friend, I cannot imagine having LOST EVERYTHING...what you are doing is such an act of kindness that the world needs. Oh my heart aches for them.

THE *0, my dear? Don't worry, I will be five year behind you on the 23rd, so we are inching our way up! YIKES IS RIGHT! I just keep thinking of all the things I want to accomplish before I hit that 0 mark! You are doing it NOW my dear. You are.

BLESS YOU and the people of Tazmania!!

How lovely! I adore those little thread catchers. My DIL is Thai and part of her name means "little bird", she would LOVE that bird fabric :-D

You are so generous and kind to help the people of Tasmania, dearest Dzintra.
Indeed bless you and them....

Regarding the DH, the one in our shop is Oct./Nov., but perhaps they will have the new issue out, we shall see!

Great news with the acupressure...
Better than needles, I think!
I remember having several sessions of reflexology, it was bliss.
Much love to you, sweet friend...and good to hear you're cooling down a bit...
Hugs,
- Irina

Oh, I love the colours of those stone blue bags, like river pebbles or sea shells. Thank you for popping over to my Steampunk blog. Yes, the white painted furniture. Sometimes I see just the piece I'm looking for on a blog, and then see someone paint it white. I need to be quicker, quick like a bunny, and get to these pieces first!
