~Cook Up With Vicki No 8~

Another cook up with Vicki has just happened...this time all sorts of things kept happening...
especially the pics which are not too clear...rather blurry but hey...it all tasted good...
And that's the main thing...right!!!
The menu from the latest edition of Donna Hay magazine...August/September 2010...

We had...
Spiced Lamb Cutlets with Carrot and Sesame Salad
Polenta Crusted Potatoes
Asparagus with Almond Butter
Raspberry Trifle
and while I was on a roll I made a Chocolate Ganache Tart...

Beautiful tender cutlets...

Polenta Crusted Potatoes...

Almonds toasting...
My newest Gluten Free find...Sweet Shortcrust Pastry from The Pastry Pantry ...

I sprinkled cocoa onto the pastry...

Chocolate all set...

Madeira Cake made with gluten free flour...

Cake rounds into bottom of dessert dish...

Berries atop...I used raspberries and black cherries...

Another round of cake on top...

Pour on custard...add whipped cream and toasted almonds and I'm in Trifle Heaven!!!

(Blurry) Spiced Lamb Cutlets with Carrot and Sesame Salad...

Mr Armchair's contribution when he saw it was a cook up dinner!!!

And here's Cheers across cyberspace to Vicki and Hubby!!!
Anyone who would like to join us it's easy...
Just cook something up from the latest Donna Hay mag and blog it!!!
Now I'm off to rehearsals all weekend for Cabaret!!!
Bon Appetit and Happy Stitching!!!

Wow yum! I will put in an order for this menu when we come! That triffle is to die for. Did I see you used frozen barries? I came across a book by Donna Hay here at my library, it calls Donna Hay Seasons. It looks good I wanted to get it for myself - Hugs Nat

Hello Dzintra,

Trifle is a great desert isn't it. Maybe the wine had a little to do with the blurry recipes!!!! Seriously it all looks delicious.
Happy cooking.
