Australia...the movie

Just fitting a post in now as I won't be able to for a couple of days...first up, I went and saw Baz Luhrmann's much talked about new movie....Australia...starring Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, David Gulpilil...and a host of good ol' Aussie actors including Bill Hunter, Bryan Brown and Jack Thompson... and featuring the young boy Brandon Walters...what a star I think he is... ...the scenery is absolutely stunning, and very powerful...the camera work at times made one feel like they were in the picture also. An epic movie, (love those) awesome set, great period costumes...set between the wars...narrated by Nullah (played by Brandon)...and to me also a very spiritual and in a way magical!!! All this and telling a very important Australian Story. Onya Baz!!! And the gorgeous Hugh...what more can one say!!!

Now back to the real world...new kitchen bench arriving this weekend...so it's back to unpacking those cupboards...

This is my kind of flick!
Is Thompson from the Man From Snowy River?
With all that fantastic scenery, hunks and a beauty(Kidman) it would be enjoyable.

It's really not an Australian movie without Jack Thompson isn't it!

I've heard mixed reviews about it. I think I'd like to see it because I love the way Baz films his movies (eg: Moulin Rouge), and for Hugh Jackman of course!

Australia, A Great Great film, in the begining I thought this is so Aussie, I am sure Baz had us having a laugh at our selves. If ypour in Melbourne you can go to A.C.M.I.or go to http://www.acmi.net.au/setting_the_scene.aspx and see drawings of the sets of some of the best films.

Australia Not a film to be missed

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
