OPAM (One Project A Month)...and Stitching At The Bay...and CABARET!!

Here is my little project for OPAM for May...

which was part of the projects at Stitching On The Bay held by Fiona and Sylvia on the weekend...

Here is my bag which had some kits ready for the day...

this is how the tables presented when walking in...

Projects on the wall...

Some of the ready made projects...
Part of morning tea...Polenta cake (gluten free) with Lime Zest in the Cream...absolutely delicious!!!

More of the Morning Tea...at the back is a Raspberry Loaf (Gluten Free)...

these occasions always seem to revolve around the food...

and why not...a day in Friendship...stitching...sharing...and of course eating!!!

Lunch were Frittatas...one was Roast Pumpkin and the other was Potato...I had Potato!!!

Then there was Afternoon Tea...
notice at the back the Raspberry Macarons (gluten free)...how wonderful is that...and they were soooo moooorish and oh so tempting!!!

Lucky Door Prizes...no I didn't win one this time!!!

This is the Raffle Quilt for later on in the year made by the Embroidery Group...

And here is Bev showing us her Quilt...

it's wonderful Bev!!!
Biscornus from a previous Stitching Day...
A wonderful day had by all...
Thank you so much Fiona and Sylvia...and the 2 Catering Ladies!!!
And this bag nearly made it into OPAM for this month...
I say nearly as I was intending it to be done...

But tonight I'm off to watch Rehearsals for Cabaret...
and get to know the characters and songs a little...or should I say a lot!!!
Here is the spot where I had to sit to have my pic taken for the programme...
I have a walk on part later on in the year so I'm venturing into something I've never done before...
and all because I'm keen to dress up and wear a costume!!!
So it's off for me to break a leg...as they say!!!
So here comes that song again...
What good is sitting alone in your room
come here the music play...
Life is a Cabaret!!!

you know how you jump from blog to blog. Well I found yours through Kiki's blog and I feel like I know you already. I'm also a stitcher (have a needlework and craft company called Banar Designs) and I've just started a blog about avocados (http://ladiesofthegrove.blogspot.com/) - because we live and work in an avocado grove (i saw slices of avocado peaking from your beautiful salad at the luncheon). So we're practically related! Anyway, I will look forward to reading your blog now that I've found it.

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
