1, 2 and 3 Finishes!!!

Wow...what a week I have had!!!
First of the finishes is this gorgeous olde worlde Scissor Case from Cathy Penton ...Cathy has the most delightful blog...and has gone from embroidery/stitchery designs to making the most beautiful charms...so go over if you have a chance and take a look and see what you think...I'm sure you will love what you see!!!
Scissor case made from old white linen, prairie cloth on the inside...a little image from Cathy, an old button and finished with white velvet ribbon...

I had to put this one is showing it in black and white as done under the scanner...

The back of the little case is woolen felt...
I have thoroughly enjoyed this Cathy...and yes I know I have had it for ages but now so pleased I have finally completed it!!!

The next one is the Needlebook from Lynette Anderson Designs
Front of the Needlebook...

opens up to this...
Now I have somewhere to put my needles in the one spot!!!

Folded out showing the back...

And the biggest finish!!!
I have finally completed my Cookery Course lasting 18 months...WoooHooo!!! I am jumping up and down and so happy!!!
Pic is the last night of the practical...cooking for the Mantle Restaurant at the TAFE College...I have started another blog over here and recorded this year's meals at the Restaurant...I only wish I had done the same for the last year...
And to keep up with the cooking I thought I would try a new recipe out every week...
And continue the Cook-Ups with Vicki with the Donna Hay magazines...
Anyone want to join us...no rules...just cook up a recipe from the latest magazine and blog it!!!

My DH took me out to a Celebratory Dinner at one of our favourties On The Pier
I will show the full meal on my other blog My Dolce Vita in time
This is DH's meal...Kingfish Fillets and Wontons...

I reckon I scored here...one of the most tastiest meals I have had...
Crisp Fried Eden Mussels and Pork Belly, Holy Basil with Yellow Cream Curry!!!

And finished off with a Cafe Latte and Vienna Coffee!!!
Now that is all over...I can finally get round to moving in...going on those beachwalks...catching up on reading and starting my Advent Swap
Thanks for your visit and have a lovely week...Dzintra♥

Oh my gosh! The biggest congratulations in the world to you! What an amazing accomplishment. I know how hard and exhausting restaurant work is, and I know you must be thrilled that it is over and that it was such a success. What will you do now? Will you cook in a restaurant, or was this a personal challenge? Congratulations Dzintra! And your sewing work is fab as always.

Dearest Dzintra,

I was so touched by your visit; thank you so much for your comments and well-wishes. I feel overwhelmed because by Sunday, I need to have at least 25 pages for my adviser, so here we go! I am fortunate however, to be a teacher and have the summer off, so I can't complain. YOUR CREATIONS ARE STUNNING! And, I love that scissors case! My mom used to have all these vintage pieces. And your food...wow, I am getting hungry! I will be back soon this summer, so keep in touch dear one! Anita

I've been swamped with work and am way too slow getting to blogging this week!
Oh Dzintra, I love the scissor cases and needle books! If only I could magically be able to make something like that! I went to Cathy's blog... such wonderful and talented girls you both are!

Your dinner out looks delicious! What a perfect way to celebrate completing your course! Happy happy Congratulations to you! I hope you're out walking the beach and relaxing for the rest of the winter.

I have my Son, DIL and Grandbaby Sophia, as well as DIL's family coming for a week-long visit starting this coming weekend. I'm so looking forward to holding and playing with my Sophia! Alot of cooking to be done, and I've planned to make a few recipes from Donna Hay's magazine... so hopefully I'll have time to photograph it... we'll see. LOL! It would be fun to have others join in! (: Love to you, Vicki

Congratulations on your big accomplishment! The food looks fabulous. (Can I just say how enticing these pictures are for a pregnant woman!) Your needlework is fabulous as well. I love little goodies like that but never think to buy patterns for them. I will have to be more crafty and less focused on quilts. I owe you an email, promise I'll write soon.
