Mother's Day 09...

Here we are...Mother's Day all over for another year...and what a wonderful...peaceful day it was...with a surprise element in it!!!To start the morning...a 'flower ball' made by JoJo at her day programme...and she was so excited bringing it home on Friday... along with 2 little pot pourri satchets from her Sister and a new CD...
Now I too can get 'Lost in Austen' with this book...and in Jane Austen's words...
Ah! There's nothing like staying home for real comfort...

A gorgeous candle...Rose and Sandalwood...
It is said that you burn a pink candle to draw love into your home and environment...
Even though JoJo's Brother and Sister weren't able to be with us on Sunday they were very much a part of the day...

Close up of a little scrapbooked notebook...

Surprise No 1...DH actually went into a patchwork shop and purchased Lynette Anderson's Simple Stitches Needle Case kit for me...wow, I loved it...and co-incidentally unbenownst to him had admired it...a primitive style and an aged stitchery along with little wooden buttons...

Being a day where we all took it easy I straight away started ageing the fabrics ready for the start of the needle case...

But the biggest surprise was yet to come...
this beautiful floral arrangement from my Son!!!
Completely unexpected as he hadn't done this before...

Thank You to my dear Family for making me one happy Mum on Sunday...Love to you all ♥
Today a new sun rises for me;
everything lives, everything is animated,
everything seems to speak to me of my passion,
everything invites me to cherish it~Anne De Lenclos~
I hope all you Mums and Grandmas all had a beautiful day...Dzintra ♥

What a wonderful Mother's Day Dzintra! JoJo's flower ball was so beautifully made! All the gold in the world couldn't be more valuable than the thoughtful gifts of appreciation from our children. (:

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
