~Celebrating The Chookshed~

This is the pile of Fat 1/4's I made up from my stash for my Quilt Past Times
Pattern by Lynne Wilson designs for moda

I had the blocks made in a previous Workshop held by Lynne and thought I would put them together to celebrate Chooky's Third year of The Chookshed

Here they all are laid out

Unfortunately I wasn't feeling the best and took to my Sewing Room armed with tissues and cough drops

from there I graduated to coffee and chocolate

then Mr Armchair bought me in some bubbly and chips

I just have to sew down the centre line to join it all together
After looking at the photo (and it's not obvious in person)
I'm wondering about the 2nd bottom row on the left
the 2 triangles might be a bit light???
so now I'm thinking about it all.........

Thank you so much Chooky for hosting this fun weekend
I just love being part of it all and seeing what everyone else is up to!!!

HAPPY 3 YEARS
and may there be many more!!!

so pleased you got to sew..........Mr Armchair looked after you very well............

maybe just change one of the ourside triangles if you feel you need to and I would change the top one if anything to something dark otherwise your corner might be looking to dark then.........

Good morning dearest one....still a bit sick? I so hope you heal up soon, but the bubbly should do SOME GOOD!!!!!!! Love, bubbly, friendship and pretty fabrics should lift the spirits. I AM DONE WITH SCHOOL and now I am working on a little project: A small sailboat. I will be making the sails and I can't wait. teeeeheeee

Fabulous work, sewing through your cold symptoms and all! It is very strange what you can see in a photo that you can't see in real life......I agree that those triangles do look slightly odd. Maybe because there's two of them so close. Unfortunately, if it bugs you now it probably won't stop. Do you have enough fabric to replace one or both of them?

Your quilt is going to be lovely. I often think the simple geometric patterns lend themselves to showing off our favourite fabrics.
Hope you are all better now!

What a gorgeous quilt top!!It's such a great pattern to show off the fabrics you picked. If you're in doubt about those blocks you should change them. It's much better to do it now than have it annoy you forever. I love the way your refreshments progressed during the day.

Hello there dearest Dzintra! THe question was, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" It was a wonderful post about more mature women's issues, but on my comment, I basically wrote that reply. We never stop growing!!!!!

Hello Dzintra,

The fabric in your latest quilt is gorgeous, did you end up changing any of the blocks? I think we tend to overthink things sometimes but if it really bugs you change a few blocks around. Hope the Vicks and chocolate etc helped!

Happy days.
Bev.
