OPAM...(One Project A Month)...the cover that didn't fit!!!

Now I'm really running waaaay overtime here...
OPAM for March complete but I just haven't had time to post it....
I hope I'm still in the running Peg and Kris...
thank you to these 2 wonderful ladies for running OPAM!!!

Stitchery received from my dear Friend Michelle (no blog) and completed in 2011...
I thought I would make it up into a journal cover...little realizing that somehow I got the measurements wrong and the cover didn't quite fit!!!

Cover all complete...

literally sewn on!!!

And the inside....

These are the books that Mr Armchair bought hoping one of them would fit the cover...

this is the one I bought...

This is the book I wanted to cover...
I started it last Christmas...
it will hold the meals we have had...
recipes.......Christmas Card list......addressess...
and anything Christmasey...
now I'll have to transfer last year's over to the happy pink journal!!!

I hope I have made it for March Peg and Kris!!!

Beautiful stitchery! I made a cover once (not the Tilda one - yet) and it was too small. So, I decided to cut the cover a bit. Shouldn't have done that. Now the stitchery cover fits, but you can see the pages coming out.
Oh well ...

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
