~2012...the ones that got away~

For the start of 2013 I thought I would do a post on pics that just didn't
make it to a post......but never say never, some of them still may!!!
We celebrated New Year's Day by having fish 'chips at the beach
The little shoes belong to my little Grand-daughter...

We took a trip up to visit my Mum...

'The Vale of Moura'

In February a local boat "The Vale of Moura' sunk in the Clyde River...
For a little history on this boat have a look here

In March we paid a visit to our dear Friends Geo and Lloyd and I fell in love with this doll

and blow-me-down Geo offered her to me!!!!!!
I have called her 'Gina' and here she is in her new home...
Thank you so very, very much Geo.......this is sooooo very generous of you!!!!!!!

I went to the 'Southeast Harvest Festival' and met Julie Goodwin, Australia's first Masterchef winner

and also met Costa from ABC TV

In April JoJo and I went to see a Wiggles concert

Lucky enough to meet Yellow Wiggle Greg Page

and Blue Wiggle Anthony Field

The 'Vale of Moura' was refloated

moved to the Marina

she sunk again...

and then chopped up......deemed beyond recovery

In May we headed off to some of Australia's High Country, the Snowy Mountains
Here a beautiful sunset

We left as snow began to fall

Came back and built a snowman

Iced over wire fence.

In June we headed off to the Good Food and Wine Show in Sydney
Here I am at the stall of  Maggi Beer......one of Australia's most loved Cooks

We paid a visit to The Queen Victoria Building and saw these magnificent tiles

In July Mr Armchair and I had a night out (with Respite Care for JoJo) and had some Mussels...

My DGD

JoJo discovered a walking track with Danelle in August

In September we went on a cruise on the Merinda
They had an Assistant called JoJo who had 2 badges and one was given to our JoJo

The Captain...Matt even let JoJo steer the boat

The cruise is so peaceful you'd think you were miles from anywhere

In October we paid a visit to our Daughter and caught up with Lidija...
here is Lidija with me

In November we celebrated our Wedding Anniversary and bought ourselves this lantern...
and Mr Armchair came home with these pretty roses

On our Anniversary evening at Mogo Village celebrating a wrap up party for Pirates of Penzance

In December The Wiggles held a final performance and of course we had to go
Here JoJo laid out her Wiggles t-shirt the night before

and the concert in action...

Looking back what an action packed year......no wonder it went so fast!!!

I've got JoJo home with me for a few weeks and she is keeping me busy...
I've been doing blog hops to see what everyone is up to but haven't been able to comment everywhere
A big thank you to everyone who calls by......leaves a few words
I appreciate you taking the time to do this

Happy New Year......Peace, Love and Contentment for 2013 ~Dzintra~

Lovely to see what goes on behind the stitching and fabric. Isn't it amazing to look back on the year and see how much we've done. I hope 2013 brings you just as much fun and happiness. X

My darling Dzintra...

I am sitting here on the brink of tears, just thinking again about how YOU and I have been visiting each other for FIVE YEARS NOW. I have nothing but joyful moments when I visit your world...JoJo is just a precious soul, your down-under world is so beautiful (the total opposite, literally, of mine) and your shares about your friends and family hits me just in a special way.

Your mother is gorgeous; you both share that fabulous smile and the fun you create around you can be felt.

AND KEEP UP THAT SINGING. Yesterday, I had the most magical time with Irina and her daughter. WE SANG! We danced a little, made jewelry (Irina did, while I was fooling around dancing!) - now that to me is fun. I thought of you as we talked about singing lessons and learning how TO BREATHE! Oh I wish you success!

Thank you for coming by to visit my dear. Have a fantastic Monday! Anita

I did enjoy your whirlwind year of photos!
I confess I wasn't looking at your doll, I was trying to see that pretty red and green quilt hanging up behind it!
Lovely little girls, they are so adorable and what great fun that Jojo got her own badge!

I love your year in a post. I've been doing more fb than blogging this year so it was great to see all the shots that "didn't make it" so I could catch up.

Hello Dzintra,
Thank you for visiting my blog today and I was also intrigued by the name of your blog and also had to pop across. Looks like you had an amazing year. I also met Costa last year! I also love your anniversary lantern and seeing pictures from a part of Australia I have yet to visit. Christy is one of my favourite books of all time and I used to watch the television series when I lived in NZ.I think you can get it on DVD - it's something I have been thinking of getting for a while now. Lovely to meet you through your year in pictures.

Good morning sweet friend! YES, KEEP GOING! Use those new skills wherever you are. That is one of the great things about learning new skills anytime in life. You can practice the exercises anywhere.

...and you know what? We all have a long way to go, as I think about it. Yes, we do. But the fun part is the walk, the journey, the run, the shuffle..whatever speed we go, whatever turn we take, as long as we do not stop. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!! Oh I just wish and hope that one day, we can HEAR your progress! Imagine that?

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

Think about it dearest; a year ago, no.....two years ago, if someone would have told me I would have done what I am doing now....I would have never believed it. In a year or even shorter or longer, you may be making a Youtube video to share. I JUST GOT CHILLS! Anita

Palomasea said...

Perhaps we can, dear Anita!!!! Dzintra, you can sing for us on YouTube when you are ready!! :))))
Hello, beautiful friend!
Thank you so much for your visit...I did see on the news that a new heat index color had to be used for Australia! Oh my goodness!
I'm so glad you are on the coast where a breeze cools you....
Big hugs to you and JoJo, dear friend...
Thinking of you! :)
Much love,
- Irina

CHEERS! Oh would I love a glass of pink fizzy right now!

Good morning precious friend! WHAT DID YOU COOK FOR DINNER????

We made panini sandwiches with SALMON! Oh my goodness, what a TREAT! Good French MICHE bread or Brioche makes the best and you can put salmon or chicken with garlic sautée spinach and GOAT CHEESE...think about it!

Have a fantastic day my dear, Anita

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
