Red Moon Rising......and some very kind words whilst visiting Santa with JoJo

Last Saturday night we were treated to a Red Moon Rising...
and wow, what a treat it was to see...
I thought I would grab my camera and shoot away...
and these are the results...
pretty cool eh!!!!!

Almost looks like a face here......

This morning we took JoJo in to do her Christmas shopping...
she saw Santa there and wanted to go up to him and have a 'chat'...
she was quite excited by all this...

After waiting in line...there were small children there and she was very patient...
the lady took her photo and while we were looking at which one to choose she turned around and said to me.....'you are doing a wonderful job'.....
this completely threw me and brought tears to my eyes...

It made me really stop and think and realize......
it really is the simple things that can just bring joy........JoJo seeing Santa,
and those few words by the lady who was encouraging children to smile for their photo with Santa...
I will remember this for a long time...probably every time we see Santa...
and brings to mind...Stop and smell the roses!!!!

What a wonderful moon! I missed it, too busy sewing I guess. I didn't even know about it. I loved your story about visiting Santa and the kind words. How special! It really is the simple things in life that bring joy.

What a beautiful Santa story! This week I read this quote: Give people a compliment and they get wings. (It's from Dutch, so not such a strong translation, but it fitted the story perfectly!)
Thank you for sharing those amazing pictures!
Happy weekend!

Good morning my dearest one!

I have NEVER SEEN THE MOON LIKE THIS, EVER!!!!!!!!!! And you were good to take out the camera; I have such a hard time remembering to have it with me. The other morning as I was driving to work, I saw a meteorite!! It was amazing.

BIG HUGS TO YOU AND JOJO and your header is absolutely DELICIOUS LOOKING!!!!!!!!! Anita

What a lovely story and a good reminder of what is important, especially taking a moment to say something nice to someone, or doing s a small thing to make someone else happy. I'm reushing around like mad today, maybe I should slow down and think of something nice to do instead.
The moon pics were fascinating, and I love your new header!

oh Dzintra,

My first WHITE Christmas came to me when I was 29 years old. I had moved from sunny Los Angeles, California to Boston, Massachusetts. To see my first snow fall at Christmas was a holy thing. May you and Jojo one day experience that....she would love it....thank you precious, for giving my blog another try. What an ordeal it was to have a little virus embedded into a gadget! But once we found it, we got rid of it!! Anita

Love the Santa story! Such nice words. Great photos of the moon. It was visible here too, but at the time it was visible the moon was behind a small hill and we were too lazy to go having a look! :)

That moon is a magical sight to see Dzintra, but the time with Jojo is most magical of all. What a treasured Christmas present that is. We are headed up to spend the Holidays with our kids and grandbabies for a few days. Have a wonderful Holiday Season Dear Dzintra~ xxx Vicki

HELLO THERE DZINTRA!

Thank you dearest for coming and giving my post another try. That gadget was infected with a link to a strange site! Scary, really, how either a person or some strange entity put it there!

HAPPY TUESDAY! Anita

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
