~OPAM September 2013......A Gardener's Journal FINISHED~

Hi Everyone
Introducing my OPAM (One Project A Month) for this month
doing a great big Happy Dance wooo hoooo
my Gardener's Journal quilt is finally finished
and I am soooo happy with it!!!

I remember a few months into starting this quilt I broke my arm which just put me back several months in everything and at one stage wondered if I would ever get it done!!!
I'll never take the use of 2 arms for granted again....

Thank you so much Chooky and Peg who are the inspiration for doing this Quilt in Stitch-a-long
and also thank you to all the fellow stitchers out there for all the support and encouragement along the way in getting this quilt finally completed....

I have thoroughly enjoyed doing my Gardener's Journal and I will bring it up to Nundle next year to show it off.....

And thank you Peg and Kris for hosting OPAM
I love that most months I can get a project complete no matter how small

Till then.....Happy Stitching
'bye, Dzintra xoxo

And this is how it all started off

Congratulations on finishing such a beautiful and special quilt. It's been such a joy watching as you stitched each block, and then hearing your thoughts about the fabrics and backing. So much work has gone into it. The quilting looks wonderful too. Have you picked out another Anni Downes quilt pattern to work on? :)

Congratulations, dearest Dzintra!!
It is GORGEOUS, and I am in awe of creations like this...as well as your tenacity and patience!
My daughter is learning machine sewing in school right now, and my mother sewed beautifully...how I wish I would have learned from her...
This isn't just sewing, it is beautiful art!!
Brava!
And enjoy your sweet grands, dear friend....
Your quilt would be a perfect entry in our state fair...thank you for visiting!!
Much love,
- Irina

Precious friend! Thank you for coming to visit today, and yes, what WOULD happen I wonder, if the entire world took one day off from commerce, war, school and work, and just did an act or two of kindness for one another. I just wonder...

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
