~Pirates of Penzance Hit The Streets...and an injury~

This week some of the cast of The Bay Theatre Players latest musical production of Pirates of Penzance hit the streets of The Bay in their costumes distributing flyers to the public and promoting the upcoming play!

The very talented Jimmy, and me...

Here Pirate Mitch is standing with me
We were in the local nut shop

now outside the supermarket

We met up with JoJo in the carpark

Oh no a fight between a Cop and a Pirate!!!!!

One of the Pirates with one of the daughters

And they're still having it out!!!!!
For the fight scene I have learnt how to use the baton (all the way from England, along with the hat) to 'fight' a pirate with both of us mirroring each other

Yesterday afternoon whilst doing some work at the theatre I inadvertently put a chisel through part of my hand (ouch!!!!!!)
Luckily the Pirate King was on hand A N D he is a Doctor
He took me up to Emergency where the injury was glued instead of stitched...cleaned out and a tetanus shot was given

Keep arm raised when I can and no water on it for a couple of days
Now I'm forced to take time away from caring for JoJo
I seem to do this every now and then (and dramatically) and all to have a sickie!!!!!

Dear Mr Armchair found a recipe on the internet for some sauce to have with filet steak for dinner
mmmmm, tasted good though he thought it a bit sweet and so won't make it again
Never mind, at least I had a night off and one also tonight!!!!!

Meanwhile this week my new book from Natalie Bird arrived

along with this very cute wallet pattern that I couldn't resist so I'm going to have a good look through these over the next days.....

Till next time........Dzintra xo

Oh Dzintra, we DO go back a ways now! (Five years for me this January!) And singing in the chorus is such fun. I will never forget the scene in A CHRISTMAS CAROL where I played one of the guests. We danced and sang and the Fezziwigs were such a delight that we laughed so hard.

Much success to you and take care of that hand of yours! MUCH LOVE! Anita

You look quite fetching in your costume, Dzintra! Hope you hand heals quickly and the show goes on to be quite a success. I would say, "Break a leg", but I don't want to encourage any more injuries! ;) Big Hugs!
