This blog is all about me......I come here for respite in between caring for JoJo (our Daughter who has Special Needs)......I am addicted to starting new projects......I am becoming a fabric-a-holic... I love to try out recipes... take a beach walk and breathe in that salty blue air......love to have coffee...sip a glass of champagne......read a book......I am Queen of the Armchair and am inspired by all the wonderful blogs out there!!!

OPAM (One Project A Month) and General Update!!!

Here is another OPAM for October that I have managed to complete...
this time a little Christmas bag by Renee Plains...
This little bag was an absolute delight to make!!!

Choosing fabrics is always the hardest for me...
always takes me ages...sometimes a few days as I play around!!!

Completed front of bag...

and back!!!
Thank you to Peg and Kris who host OPAM!!!

Meanwhile a new pattern I couldn't resist...

and fabric for a new apron!!!

A couple of posts back I was starting off a surprise quilt for Mr Armchair and hoping to do a block-a-day when time permitted...
I have started...YAY!!!
First block ready...

And others all lined up!!!

Meanwhile...a little surprise gift from my good Friend Geo...a coaster made up of 5 different fabrics...front and back above...
Thank you so much dear Geo...this sits next to me in my sewing room!!!

And to finish off...yesterday afternoon we all had photos taken after the show (Cabaret)...and here are all of us walk on gals!!!
I love my stolle!!!
I've had a wonderful time being involved in live theatre...
perhaps I'll do it again!!!
Thanks to a great cast and crew who all do so much!!!

Hello Dzintra,

Of course you will do it again. I want to see you all dressed up. You lined up Santa perfectly on that stunning bag. Good luck with the quilt blocks.
Happy sewing.

Dzintra ma belle, this is so darling. I so love seeing you smile and have fun with your gal pals, and as ACTRESSES! OH YES! You are now a thespian. What fun you have had, and YOU ARE MAKING ME WANT MY SEWING MACHINE!!!! I want to sew some Audrey Hepburn style dresses for school...simple little jumpers that I can scoot around in but still wear pearls!!!! Just about 50 some days and we shall see. OH! THE BUILDERS HAVE DUG THE HOLE TODAY! IT IS getting dark and they are still out there preparing for the pouring of the concrete TOMORROW! This guy we got is a go-getter, he means BUSINESS!

Oh Dzintra, YOUR LAST PERFORMANCE? It was splendid, wasn't it? You will never forget it. AND WE ALREADY HAVE THE CEMENT LAID IN THE FOUNDATION! I was hoping the men would be back today, on my day off, but they have to let the cement dry before they come back to lay the blocks and then START BUILDING THE FRAME!!!! I can't wait! But wow, do I have to pay my dues before the fun starts....this month is PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES, and before that, I have to do some new reading tests on all 50 kids and then be ready to sound intelligent for the parents! THEN....Thanksgiving will be here and hopefully, we will have some kind of structure up by then! ALL IN FUN!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR VISIT DEAREST! Anita

Oh Dzintra, yes, things are moving along so quickly here for us! Everyday that we come home from work, there is something NEW added on! The framing goes up next in a couple of days and by our Thanksgiving on Nov. 29, we should have a framed structure up!!!! Who knows what will be up by Christmas, if the weather cooperates, however, I believe these fellows work in all kinds of weather! AND....PLEASE, PLEASE, you MUST audition for another play! You know how fun it is dearest, you will be smashing again!

Enjoy your day and thank you for visiting!! Anita
